Old Fashioned Burgers at JC’s Burger House

I have frequented JC’s for several years and have never been disappointed with the quality of their burgers. When I am hankerin for a tasty, old fashioned hamburger I drive over to JC’s almost every time.

This ‘hole in the wall’ burger joint has a unique, local history. It all started with a guy who made old fashioned ‘real’ burgers for his friends and family. His name was Jay Cockerell. In 1999 Jay noticed a lacking of ‘real’ burgers in the marketplace and decided to start his own burger house. Within six months JC’s first restaurant in Plano was ‘standing room only’ (http://jcsburgerhouse.com/our-story/).

What truly makes JC’s burgers unique is the fresh meat. JC’s cooks grind their own hamburger meet, USDA Choice Chuck, on site daily, plop it on the grill, flatten it with their spatula, and cook it to perfection. It is no wonder JC’s has been voted ‘The Best Burger in Collin County’ several times over the years!

To add to the old fashioned beef burgers JC’s also offers a tasty turkey burger. I admit there was a time when I categorically disregarded the entire turkey burger genre, however after the constant pestering from my wife, Karis, I finally tried one of JC’s turkey burgers. I was pleasantly surprised and have not hesitated to order one now and then.

Go check out JC’s some time soon. If you like old fashioned, real, burgers you will not be disappointed!

JC’s is located on the Northbound service road of HWY 75 just south of McDermott in Allen!
